John P. Rauls, President
As President of Rauls Living, John Rauls is a third-generation senior living professional. Both an owner and operator, John’s mission of caring for seniors with a servant’s heart is a legacy inherited from his grandfather, who started the business in 1956 in Macon, Georgia.
Family, friends, and co-workers describe John as a passionate humanitarian. He lives his life with a “people first” philosophy and is always ready to share a laugh or good story. He has always cared about people of all ages but has a special passion for ministering to the elderly, and desires to help them have the highest quality of care possible and to be able to live healthy, happy, active, and fulfilled lives. If asked, John says humbly he “is always surrounded by the love of hundreds of grandparents.”
John has over 22 years of experience in senior living communities. He graduated with a Master’s Degree in Gerontology from Appalachian State University. He is a respected writer and speaker on the topic of aging gracefully.
John makes his home in Marietta, Georgia where he works alongside his sister, Ashley Rauls, to ensure the best in retirement living for residents. His heroes are his parents. When he’s not working, John enjoys hiking, working on his house off the Marietta Square, and enjoying the natural beauty of the Bahamas, his favorite vacation spot.
Ashley Rauls, Chief Operating Officer
Being in a family business and carrying on a legacy is something Ashley takes to heart in her everyday work. When asked how many years Ashley has been in the senior living industry, she laughs and says every day of her life. Her love for seniors and helping families began at an early age. Growing up inside of one of the communities her family owned, Ashley developed a love for seniors while serving dinner, participating in activities, and watching her family work and live the legacy.
Flashforward to today, Ashley is passionate about making the transition for seniors and their families as smooth as possible by teaching the teams at the communities how to counsel with compassion. Ashley also enjoys looking towards the future with renovations and expansion on the horizon. In a family business, everyone wears many hats. Ashley values teamwork and having a dynamic team that can put on a few hats at once to make the business run. Ashley is always on the go between communities, but her home is in Georgia with her husband and chocolate Labrador.
Jimmy Hill, Chief Financial Officer
Jimmy Hill serves as the CFO for Rauls Living, Inc. and has over 10 years of senior living experience. His prior endeavors include five years as CFO in the Ambulance and medical billing industry and Senior Commercial banker with a global institution.
Jimmy has been married for over 20 years to his wife Marnie and has 2 kids and numerous animals. In his spare time, he enjoys numerous activities such as running, golf, hunting, and fishing. Working with seniors has been a blessing and he feels fortunate to have found such a rewarding career.
Kim Carter, Financial Controller
Mrs. Carter, a native of Macon, Georgia, has over 25 years of accounting experience in the healthcare industry. She earned a B.S. degree in Accounting from Brewton Parker College (1990). Mrs. Carter and her husband, Norman, have two children. She enjoys spending time with her friends, playing the piano, singing, tennis and spending time with her friends in her spare time.
Linda McWilliams, Financial Assistant
Linda worked in the medical field for about 7 years as an Administrative Assistant. But, for the past twenty years she worked for a private ambulance company, where she was a Client Specialist. In this role, she was a Certified Ambulance Coder but also worked with Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance reimbursement. She has been married for thirty-nine years and has two sons. Away from work she enjoys gardening as well as spending time with her family, which includes her two fur babies, Max and Lucy!
Lisa Tyre, Vice President of Advertising
With more than 25 years of advertising and marketing experience in senior living, Lisa spends her days creating innovative and practical solutions to support occupancy at Rauls Living communities. Lisa began volunteering at her local nursing home in the 7th grade and continued volunteering with seniors throughout college. In 1996, she was hired as the Activities Director, (still her favorite job) of a local retirement community and then served in several positions within the company, including that of Sales Director. This hands-on experience has given her invaluable insight into the needs of families and residents seeking high-quality retirement. Living in Atlanta with her husband and daughter, Lisa uses her spare time to write and has authored two middle-grade books through Penguin Random House.
Kim Docalavich, Director of Advertising
Kim provides direct support to the Vice President of Advertising and to the Rauls Living management team. She also functions as the executive assistant to Frank P. Rauls, the founder of John Wesley Villas and father of John and Ashley Rauls. She received her masters degree in healthcare administration from Park University in 2021. She also holds a bachelors degree in human resources management. She currently resides in Savannah, Georgia and enjoys yoga, reading, and traveling.
Jessica Guthery, Business Support Administrator
Jessica is enthusiastic about caring for people of all ages with a special passion for working with seniors and helping them to be safe, active, and thriving at all times… 9 valuable years of experience gained in the healthcare field while working for several different Executive Directors over the years as their right-hand woman for all office management, payroll, human resources, receptionist and office coordinator duties as well as maintenance department secretary for a retirement community and served as substitute Property Manager and Staffing Coordinator – scheduling all nurse aides for the Assisted Living and coordinating all coverage as needed. In the midst of extensive administrative duties, she also used her certified nurse aide license frequently to assist senior residents with countless medical emergencies. Currently, Jessica is very excited to be the Business Support Administrator for Rauls Living! In her free time, she loves being with her beloved family, helping with church ministries of all kinds, creative writing, and going on hangliding and hiking adventures with her husband Vinny.
